Training Bra

'Training Bra' is an ongoing exploration and dialogue between myself and my inner child. Through self-portraiture, archive, and documentary photography, I examine my feelings of nostalgia, confusion, and self-realisation – each emotion bubbling to the surface as I reflect through my younger self to accept the person I am today.

This way of thinking is part of a wider online collective of Gen Zers who are connecting through the universal struggles of coming of age, examining the complexities of self-perspective and worth that have evolved post-adolescence. 'Training Bra' encapsulates the turbulence of post-adolescence, bridging narratives between the child of the past and the person of today. We are all more than what we see in the mirror or the character in our minds. This project is my way of connecting with and retelling the story of the child that encapsulates me.
